David Dalton- Outside In and Inside Out
David Dalton, owner of David Dalton Inc, a Los Angeles based interior design firm, spoke recently at an event sponsored by Decorative Carpets, Inc. Dalton is a well-respected designer, known for his outstanding residential as well as his commercial and hospitality projects, works all over the world.
Dalton spoke at the event, attended by over 100 local interior designers, and entertained the audience with his insight and his design philosophy of bringing the outside in and the inside out. David feels that his outdoor spaces should feel as comfortable as your living room or den and that your inside spaces should be as light and airy as your outdoor spaces. The two should be interchangeable. Too many people consider the outside another space entirely, and David tries to blend the two making both spaces feel livable and comfortable.
David’s own collection of high-end furniture for indoor and outdoor use, The Arroyo Collection, was featured in Decorative Carpets’ windows. The Arroyo Collection is available through showrooms nationwide and has been chosen by well-respected designers for luxury hotels worldwide and the homes of their celebrity clientele. David also creates one-of-a-kind furniture and accessory pieces for his own clients.
In keeping with the Decorative Carpets tradition, the Border Grill Truck pulled right out back and served the guests with tacos and quesadillas.
